Parrots have been extraordinarily favored among pet owners and it is not hard to grasp why. A couple of the preferred reasons why parrots make awesome and lovable pets are because of their high intelligence and their ability to talk. Unfortunately, most people overlook the disadvantage of having parrots as pets; most people think that correct parrot care is that easy.
If you are one of those people that are considering buying a parrot, I would advice you to think it one hundred times over to avoid making an inaccurate call. One of the questions that you should ask yourself is- will you be in a position to spend time and effort to properly take care of|take care parrot?
Parrot Care Tips
If your answer to this query is no, give yourself a favor and forget getting a pet parrot. Truthfully, parrot care is hard and it should never be treated lightly. Correct care is vital for the health and well-being of your pet, and it might definitely take lots of your time in doing so. That is why we must consider these necessary elements for correct parrot care to make sure that we may be able to raise our pet correctly. The following are important desires that you may address to correctly look after your pets : correct cage care, healthy diet, grooming, and love.
A parrot cage must be sufficiently big enough for your pet to comfortably live in it ; you should ensure that their cages are to push your pets and your family’s health.
For their diet, parrots need the same nourishment as that of humans, nourishment is crucial in maintaining a good quality of living for your pets. Often , your parrots diet will contain pellets and seed. However, it’s a smart move to offer them variety of nutritious foods such as fresh vegetables and fruits.
Parrot needs minimal grooming because your pet has the facility to clean itself by preening; however, it remains advisable that you can give them a bathe at least once a week.
Lastly, you must understand that because they are playful, affectionate, and intelligent they need you to nurture it. They need constant interaction from their owners, now you could disagree that another parrot may make up for this but in truth it is not not the case. You need to personally devote at least a couple of hours a day to your pet to keep them from getting bored and stressed.

Parrot Birds Tips – Choosing A Cage For The Parrot

If you have a desire to keep a parrot at your home, then the foremost contemplation should be an enclosure where it is to be kept. Keep in mind that the habitat of the parrot directly influences its health. It should be obvious that every parrot possessor will like to keep the parrot in an enclosure. But remember that the cage should be spacious as it requires good space to live in. This will help in the growth of the parrot.
When you are going to buy a cage then always look for a good and right dimension. This should be understood that all types of parrot cannot be kept in the similar cage. The specie of the parrot also determines which type of an enclosure you should have. So, before you buy a parrot it should be well understood that which type of cage should be selected so that the parrot can be kept in their satisfactorily.
There are many varieties of cages with so many different sizes which you can wonder. But, the specie of the parrot very much affects the type and the size of the cage. For instance, the specie of a parrot like an African Grey or the Blue Crown Conjure requires a cage with a size of 18x18x18 inch. Also for an Eclectic Parrot and the Senegal Parrot, the same dimensions mentioned above would be perfect. In this way different parrots have varying cage dimensions.
The dimensions of an enclosure may vary with the specie of many parrots. For instance, for the parrots like the Amazon Parrot, the Quaker Parrot or the Macaws the cage dimensions of about 30x30x30 inch would work. Also, for the Umbrella Cockatoos, some dimension of about 36x30x72 inch would be ok. For a Conjure a cage with size measurement of around 20x20x24 inch would be fine in order to keep your parrot cheerful, relaxed and healthy.
There are many kinds of parrots seen and they too have distinct sizes of an enclosure. If you keep the Coffin Cockatoo as a pet then the cage should have a preferable size of around 48x36x48 inch. The same dimensions would also be good for the Moluccas Cockatoo. Now for the Rose Breasted Cockatoo then you should go for the cage dimensions of around 36x36x36 inch. The parrots which are small in nature can stay in an enclosure of around 18x22x24 inches. For instance the parrot Quaker Parakeet is of this type. For different other tiny species like Cockatiels and Budgies the cage dimensions of around 18x18x24 inches and 20x12x18 inches respectively would be fine. Remember that the entrance of the cage should be good and big so that the parrot can enter and exit from the cage easily.
The devices that you use while serving food and water to the parrots also play an important role other than the cage dimensions. You must keep things such as cups to serve water to the parrots and also toys so that the parrot can catch these things from inside of the cage very easily.

Giving your Goldendoodle a bath
Many Goldendoodle owners allow their Goldendoodle to become a matted, dirty mess because the act of bathing is simply too much of a hassle. I have to partly agree. Sometimes it really can be. Tips on Purchasing the Perfect Parrot Cage
Posted: Oct 19, 2009 |
It is imperative that you have everything in place for when your new bird arrives at your home. Investing in the right products, such as parrot cages, for your parrot will ensure that the bird will have an easy transition. You certainly do not want to place your parrot into the wrong type of parrot cages, as this could be stressful and depressing for the bird or worse still, a danger to it. Educating yourself on the type of parrot cages that are available for a parrot is essential in making sure that you are knowledgeable enough to keep such a bird.
The Correct Size of Parrot Cages
Just as every species of bird has their own personalities and special characteristics, parrots are no different. This is why it is essential that your bird adapts instantly to its surroundings. Parrot cages come in a variety of styles and sizes but that does not mean that you have a lot of room to work with. Parrots are wild birds that have been accustomed to large open spaces. So when shopping for parrot cages, it is wise to choose the largest parrot cages you can find.
Parrot Cages Places To Play
When it comes to shopping for parrot cages, there is a lot more to consider then just the size. Parrots love to interact and play; with this in mind it is essential that you give it this ability. There are dome top parrot cages that are nice but if they do not offer enough room you will have to seek out other options. Parrot cages that have a flat play top are ideal as this gives the bird a much larger space to play in. Once the parrot has got used to its environment it is a good idea to let the parrot out of its cage every once in a while in order to keep their mental and emotional health in good spirits.
Owners versus the Parrot Cages
While there is a lot to consider when purchasing a parrot cage in regards to the bird, you also need to be aware of certain aspects for yourself. Ensure that the parrot cage has plenty of access for you, especially when it comes to cleaning the cage. This also applies for times when you need to place the bird back in to it cage.
Another important factor is the strength and sturdiness of the parrot cage. Parrots are strong birds and the last thing you need is to find that your new parrot cage has been dismantled by the bird. Allowing the bird to roam free around the house all day while you are away simply because the parrot cage you purchased was not secure enough is not a good thing. So make sure that when shopping for parrot cages you look at the size, the playground room, and the security of the set up and you will find the best parrot cage possible. In no time at all your little bird will adapt to its new environment giving it hours of enjoyment.

The most important facet that is to be considered while buying a bird cage is that the pet is safe and gets comfortable wing-space in it. Crammed cages can prove detrimental to the health of a bird and thus should be avoided at all costs.

Talking Parrot Training Tips

A talking parrot makes a wonderful pet. If you intend on purchasing a parrot and teach it to talk, it is best to do with a parrot that is about 2 months old. It is during the infancy stage that a parrot bonds well with its master. The requirement on your part is just patience. Like human babies, exposing baby parrots to words will instill in them an interest in talking. When exposed to words, baby parrots tend to recognize them fast even though they may not be ready to talk yet. But with your patience, they will be able to mimic words at the age of 4 months old.
Between 4 months to a year a parrot picks up words fast. It is during this time that you can really mould you bird into a talking parrot. They are most receptive before they are 1 year old. Beyond that, it may take a longer time to learn new words. So use this 1 year period to teach as many words as you can and discipline your bird to listen to your command. However, if you pick an older bird that has very little socializing with humans, you may end up with a parrot that may refuse to learn to talk at all. But that should not be a deterrent in keeping parrots if your desire is to keep parrots as pets. A parrot that talks is just a plus factor.
Male parrots are better talkers than female parrots, and more receptive too. However, it is almost impossible to tell the sexes of parrots apart before you purchase one. You may need to see a vet to determine that as a surgical procedure or a blood test is often required.
The best time to teach your parrot to talk is early in the morning or late in the evening. In the wild, birds are more active during these times and are at their noisiest as they gather to eat and squeak at each other. Take advantage of this natural phenomenon to entice your parrot to talk and utter new words.
As with training other animals, positive reinforcement by giving a reward works best. Identify your parrot’s favorite food and use it as a reward for getting the right word. When this is practiced continuously, your parrot will look forward to such training sessions and respond positively.
Switch off the TV, radio and try to remove all sound distractions such as wind-chimes and sounds from other pets in the house. Take charge of the situation and let the bird know that you are in command. Speak the word in a loud and clear voice and give a reasonable amount of pause before you repeat the word again. Use facial expressions or hand gestures to give more meaning to the word. Parrots that you see dancing on youtube videos is the result of their owners using action with words.
Learning the first word is usually the hardest. It gets easier over time until the parrot reaches an age when it just stops learning and you will know that the window learning period has closed. But again, it doesn’t mean that your parrot will not learn talking at all, as different parrots adapt differently.
Teaching a parrot to talk is lots of fun, especially when the parrot has built a vocabulary of words that are funny and cheeky. A talking parrot is always the life of the party and it also makes a great companion too as it has a very long lifespan.

SEO Strategy Using Long Tail Keywords
Using long tail keywords in your search engine optimization techniques is a good strategy. Long tail keywords are less competitive, making it easier for you to rank highly in Google. Searchers who dig deeper into popular keywords by keying in long tail keywords are more likely to make a purchase as compared to those that browse using single keyword terms. Clever use of long tail keywords can also rank higher than popular keywords.

When you plan to entertain the most of your parrot, then ensure to keep it away from any dangers. One of the excellent ways to free your parrot from any injury is to put it in the cage. But, putting the parrot for full time in cage is not good for its health. Sometimes you may have to give liberty to the parrot so that it gets relaxed. At that time, your parrot might be frightened with some hidden dangers which it may be exposed to. So, you should be aware of those dangers to keep parrot safe. Some of the hazards are described below:
Almost all parrots get excited to feed when they get anything at home. This happens especially when parrot moves out of the cage. Hence, always remember that you left nothing nearby the parrot at your home as this can be harmful for its health. The parrots are also very receptive to smells. They react immediately towards it. Therefore, the chemicals with harmful smells must be placed away from the parrots.
One more thing hazardous for the parrot’s health is water. But it is not water which you keep for drinking. The parrot should not be kept in the tubs or sinks. Be sure that this parrot does not move close to toilet. It may go under or die if it goes in the tub or the sink as it may not be able to come out from water. The parrot may release itself ones it falls into tub or the sink. However, if you don’t reach on time and the parrot is not able to move out then it will eventually die.
One thing about the parrots is they are of very searching type. They would like to know everything that is nearby them. So, it is better to switch off the fans when the parrot has left the cage as the blades of fan can cause damage to the parrot.
Keeping some other pets at your home could also be dangerous to the parrot’s life. The parrots don’t feel comfortable in front of either any cats or dogs when they see them. The cats and dogs may be aggressive to the parrot and they may kill your parrot. So, remember that they always live a friendly and healthy life. You can attempt to incorporate each one of them into other’s life. But if you don’t get any result, it is good if you keep both of them away from the other.
If you give your parrot any kind of play objects then ensure that they are sturdy as the parrot may eat the broken pieces and end up with death.
Therefore, it is very necessary to follows all these instructions before you bring a parrot at your home. Also, if you want that your parrot should live a friendlier and happy life it is good if you follow all the above mentioned points to avoid the hazards. This will ensure the long and healthy life of the parrot.
